How long does a mine remain on a certain colour if un-occupied ?
Ie after how long of inactivity will a pink mine turn blue-green-normal

So I keep getting attacked while I am mining which is fair enough because it's what the game is partially about.  How do i see when other people are mining so that I can attack them?

Most common way of spotting players who are mining is to look for Colored Mines. They only color when a player has mined in there for a long enough time, so there's a high chance, if you find such a Mine, that a player will be mining in it.

You can also use Spy Satellites to find a player's mine. Those Satellites and Super Radars can only be won in certain events, so I'll better go searching on map for Color mines
